Frances and Tracey met in 1999 through the Recruitment Industry and have continued to work together in recruitment for the last 8 years.
It was in 1999 when Frances and Tracey were attending networking groups in Bournemouth that they felt there was a definite place for a new type of networking group in Poole.
And so the PBWL club was launched. The numbers of business women attending has grown from just 10 at the first meeting to our maximum capacity each lunch of 40.
During this time the club has evolved into a friendly, supportive, not-too-structured club that women from all professions and organisations are welcome to attend.
Tracey Wood
Tracey (right) relocated to Poole from Bristol in 1991. After spending many years working in Personnel, Employment and Training Tracey set up Jobshop UK with her husband in 1997.
Ten years later Jobshop has become a well respected independent recruitment agency in the Poole area. Tracey maintains an active hands-on Managerial role, overseeing both the temporary and permanent commercial divisions. Tracey enjoys networking and believes it to be an important part of building a successful business.
Frances Miles
Following 13 years in management within the Recruitment Industry both in the UK and in Australia, Frances Miles set up Storm Fish Restaurant in 1999 with her husband Peter.
Frances divides her time between overseeing the running of Storm and occasionally dipping-in to make desserts at Storm with looking after two young boys and also keeping her hand in with Recruitment at Jobshop UK Ltd working alongside Tracey as a Trainer/Consultant.
Our numbers have swelled from our very first meeting of just 10 women to now 40 plus at each meeting. In that time the club has evolved into a friendly supportive relaxed group of women from all professions and organisations.
